Ceramic Tool / Process Designer — Artisan Production Manager
Over the last forty + years I’ve made many more than a million pots (no hyperbole). Each piece one at a time and each and every one from this same pair of hands. Cups and mugs, plates and bowls and a great many bath room sinks. I still remember the day a client opened the door asking if I could make a bowl to replace the broken one beneath her marble top sink. Being young and cocky, I replied that I certainly could and promised the replacement when she returned. I filled that order and I made an extra as well and for better or worse I have continued to roll the ball up the hill.
I met my brilliant wife Elizabeth on a white water canoe trip and depend on her to balance & temper my tendency to the extreme. Liz is my very skillful business manager who coordinates and helps to facilitate our marketing, sales, shipping and customer relations. Where I am action oriented with prickly tendencies—Liz is smooth, supportive and accommodating. My life would be infinitely smaller without her.
